Slow computer solutions was created to help people suffering from a slow performing computer. We know how aggravating it can be to work on a slow computer. The sad fact is that almost every Windows computer will begin slowing down shortly after you purchase them.

The fastest your computer will ever run is when you first buy it. The more software you install and uninstall the slower your computer will become. Errors, blue screens, corrupt programs, viruses and spyware will begin to infect your computer as soon as you start to use it.

The Windows registry becomes corrupt and bloated. Every time you startup your computer, shut down your computer, load programs or uninstall software you change the registry. Unfortunately most programs leave behind registry keys when you uninstall them. This creates an orphaned registry file.

If you get a virus on your computer or spyware sometimes your registry will become corrupted. So what does all this mean? Registry is the heart of your computers operating system. Every time you load a program, start your computer or shut it down Windows references the registry. It will come across corrupted or orphaned registry files and tries to cross reference them with software that is no longer installed on your computer or has become corrupted.

Your operating system will delay for a period of time on every single one of these orphaned or corrupted files trying to match them up. Over time you may have hundreds of these bad files or maybe even thousands. Most people are shocked to find out how many bad files I have lurking in there computers system. So you can see why this would slow your computer down immensely.

If you visit our Main page on slow computer solutions you will find our top-rated registry repair and optimizer for Windows computers. We suggest you download it and run it, this will tell you how many bad files you have on your computer and whether you need a registry cleaner or not. It will cost you nothing to do this as it is a free download. However if you decide you want to purchase the software you’ll have to pay a small fee for it.

Having good computer optimization software and registry cleaning software is well worth the price you will pay for it. It will keep your computer running smoothly and error-free and very close to the speed of which it was when you first purchased it. These programs will also increase your start up time and shut down time.

You’ll also want to make sure you have no viruses or spyware lurking in your computer, so performed whole scans for each. Another major cause of a slow computer that slow computer solutions recommends is to remove any startup programs that you do not absolutely need loaded every single time your computer starts. Most of them run in the background using up resources for no reason, as you do not need them running. You can remove them from the startup without hurting anything as they will still be available anytime you need them by going to your start menu.

One more thing you can do is remove any desktop icons that you do not need. Most people have their a complete desktop plastered with icons. What they don’t know is that is uses resources and will slow your computer down. Remove the ones you don’t use all the time. Again you’re not removing the program you’re just removing the short cut. It will still be available in your start menu.

Fixing a slow computer is not that hard and can be done by almost anyone with the proper tools. Many non-technical people are afraid to tamper with your computer. And for good reason. If you change the wrong setting or delete the wrong file your computer may become unstable or unusable.

Using software to fix a slow computer is a much safer option than altering files manually. Programs like, registry cleaners, spyware removal software and antivirus software will keep any computer safe and running smoothly.

You may have been very happy when you purchased your computer and it was running so fast and smooth. Programs snapped open very quickly and you could surf the Internet at blazing speeds. However, I am sure you’ve have noticed over time that your priced computer has been slowing down. Now it seems like it takes forever to do anything or load programs.

Remember when you first purchased your computer? You could hit the start button and it will boot up in seconds. Now, you did your start button and go do a load of laundry. Computers collect a lot of junk and useless files over time. Especially if you load and then delete programs. Uninstalling a program does not remove all the files it needs to, thus you end up with a lot of junk.

The major cause of a slow computer is the registry. All your settings are stored there and the heart of all your software and programs are stored there. Every time you load a program, start your computer or shut down your computer it references the registry. So basically this is the heart of your computer system. If it is not fully cleaned and optimized your computer will slow down.

Registry ends up with a lot of corrupted files or orphaned files that belong to nothing or software that you’ve deleted long ago. These need to be cleaned out or repaired. The reason this every time your computer loads programs, starts up or shuts down it comes across these orphaned registry files and tries to cross reference them with programs that are no longer there. By default Windows operating system will delay on every one of them trying to match them up. And if these registry files are corrupted that’s even worse because Windows cannot read them.

So you see why your Windows computer is bound to become slower over time. If you do not keep up with the maintenance of your registry you’re just asking for trouble. Since Windows operating systems do not come with a registry cleaner or optimizer will need to get one from a third party. There are many poorly written ones especially if you come across a free one. These should be avoided as they may do more harm to your computer then help.

You’re much better paying a one-time fee for a professional registry cleaner or a small yearly fee to get good software that you can trust. The one we recommend is listed on our Main page. This is the recommended slow computer solution

There is one question we get asked a lot that is “my computer is slow why“? There are many different reasons why a computer is slow. So many different factors can change the speed of a computer and the way it operates. It can depend on your operating system, the age of the computer, your Internet connection, or hardware installed in the software running on your computer.

In almost all cases it is a software problem. Unless your hard drive or memory is failing then you will find it is a software related issue. You may have too many programs running in the background or at the same time. Assuming you’re not using all the memory in your computer will start by performing some general maintenance. Click here my computer icon and right-click on your C drive. Performing a cleanup and delete all your temporary files and other junk you don’t need.

You will want to remove any programs in your start up that you do not actually need. There is no need for software to be running in the background that you do not use on a regular basis. This will also make your computer startup and shutdown much faster. It will also free up a lot of memory. If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 can try shutting your gadgets down on the sidebar. You use up tons of memory. Yes I know they look pretty but we are trying to find out why your computer is slow.

Next you want to make absolutely sure you don’t not have a virus or spyware running in the background. This can be a major cause of a slow computer. Spyware and viruses come come bundled in software that you have downloaded like some screen savers or browser task bars. If you’re experiencing unexpected pop-ups all the time no matter what you do make sure you do not have a gaming toolbar installed. If you would have read the terms very closely you will see that most of them, bundled with ad aware.

To answer your question my computer is slow why, the biggest reason is usually because of a registry problem. This is the most overlooked aspect of Windows as far as maintenance and cleaning go. Your Windows operating system never mentions the registry or has software to perform any maintenance on it. Well actually there is a good reason for that. The registry is like the heart of your Windows system. You want to make sure you do not alter or delete the wrong file. If you do your computer may become unusable.

The software we recommend is listed on our Main page. These programs will safely and effectively clean and optimize your Windows registry. To have been fully tested and you can trust them as they will never harm your computer like some of the cheap free registry cleaners will. I always recommend downloading one of them and run a scan on your computer. You will probably be shocked at the amount of errors you have that need attention. So I hope this article has answered your question of my computer is slow why.

If you follow the above suggestions your computer should be running at full speed again with no errors or slowdowns. Your computer should no longer be slow and you should notice everything loads much faster and run smoother. Many times people will be males back and tell us there computer is running like it did when they first bought it. If you are still having problems browse through the other articles at slow computer solutions.

Fixing a slow computer is not that difficult and most people can do it themselves with a little time. Even if you have no technical skills our slow computer solutions can help you speed up your annoyingly slow computer in an afternoon.

The first thing you will want to do is to preform a general cleaning on your computer or laptop. Click on my computer, right-click on your C drive and select properties. From there you will see the disk cleanup button. Go ahead and press that and let it run, this will delete all the temporary garbage you do not need.

Next you’ll want to update your antivirus and spyware software and perform complete scans. Sometimes this takes a while but it needs to be done. If you want you can start it before going to bed or at a time when you will not be using your computer. It could be that your computer has become so slow you do not want to use it anymore, been there.

If you have downloaded and installed different task bars for your browser these can really slow down your web surfing. Many of them are loaded with so much garbage they really use a lot of resources. Some will give you pop-ups. If your are experiencing different pop-ups and can’t get rid of them it may be your taskbar. If you bothered to read all the terms in the agreement before installing the you would have noticed that you are agreeing to certain advertising being displayed.

The number one reason most people have a slow computer is because of a bad registry or a lot of registry errors. This is a overlooked area of Windows, and many people don’t even know it exists. However the registry on a Windows computer or laptop is like the heart of your system. It contains all the vital information for your operating system and software.

Over time your Windows registry becomes bloated or corrupted resulting in a slow computer. Slow computer solutions recommends you preform regular maintenance on your registry. You need to clean the orphaned registry files and repair the corrupt ones to keep your computer running fast and fully optimized. Every time you install or uninstall software your computer alters the registry. Many programs leave behind in orphaned registry file even though you have uninstalled it.

When your computer starts, shuts down or load software tries to reference these orphaned registry files to software that is no longer installed. Sometimes your operating system will delay a few seconds on each one trying to reference it. So as you can see this will greatly slow down a computer over time.

Slow computer solutions recommends you download and run one of the recommended programs on our Main page. This will tell you how many errors you have on your computer and whether you need a registry cleaner or not, I am betting that you will. In fact I bet you will be shocked at how many errors you have. Most people have several hundred the first time they will run a scan.

Another benefit of our top-rated software, is that you can easily remove programs out of your start up. More than likely there will be many programs that load every time your computer starts up and running in the background. This uses resources and slows your startup and shutdown times. Remove the programs that you do not use on a daily basis. You’re not removing them from your computer you’re just telling startup that you do not need them pre-loaded.

The cause of a slow computer is sometimes hard to determine. There are a number of different reasons a computer will slow down. It also depends on your Windows operating system and the age of your computer. Here is some information that will help you find the cause of a slow computer.

Slow Computer Solutions Can Help Avoid This

We are going to assume that you do not have a major hardware issue, like bad memory or a failing hard drive. So first let’s start with preforming general maintenance on your computer. To start with let’s do a general cleaning. Click on you’re my computer icon on your desktop, select your hard drive usually “C” right-click on it and select properties. From there you can find your disk cleanup button. Go ahead and run that.

You’ll also notice there is a tab for tools, from there you can find defragment. I would wait until you are going to bed before starting it, takes a longtime to complete.Especially if you haven’t run it in a long time or maybe never.

The next step is to update your antivirus definitions and run a complete scan, you need to make sure you have no viruses running. The same with your spyware software. Update it and run a complete scan. Spyware or adaware running in the background of your computer can really slow down. Viruses and spyware can use a lot of computer resources without you knowing it. So you need to make sure you have neither one of them secretly running in the background.

Over the years the biggest problem in almost all cases is because of the Windows registry. The Windows registry is the heart of the Windows operating system. For it to function properly it needs to be cleaned of any old orphaned files and fully optimized. Every time you start, shut down or load software your computer has to reference the registry to get the proper settings.

If your files have become corrupted or the whole registry has become bloated your Windows operating system will become very sluggish. You may also experience program crashes, blue screen, freezing, jerky mouse, painfully slow loading of software and other such errors.

Extremely long startups or shutdowns and also because by a corrupted registry. By default, Windows operating system will pause when it comes to a registry entry that is no longer valid. It will attempt to locate the software which may no longer be installed on your computer or working properly. So you can imagine if you have a lot of corrupt entries that this will vastly slow your system down.

Since Windows does not come with a registry scanner/cleaner you will need to get one from a third party. The software we recommend is listed on our Main page. They are completely safe and will never harm your computer. If you are not sure you need a registry cleaner the best way to find out is to download one of the ones listed on our Main page. Run a scan, from there you can determine how many errors you have. Most people are shocked to see the massive amount of corrupted files they have on their computer.

Once your system is cleaned and repaired properly new computer should run like it did when you first bought it. You should no longer get any Windows errors and your program should start and run much faster.

If you have a slow starting computer here are some tips you can use to speed up your boot time. Even if you have no computer experience you can follow this simple tutorial and get your lost computer speed back again. We know how annoying it is to have to wait forever for your computer to start.

The first thing you’re going to want to do is remove any program in the startup that you do not absolutely need to load every time your computer starts. Many programs will put themselves in their by default, and they do not need to load when you’re not using them.

To disable startup programs, click start, click run, type msconfig, select startup tab, disable any program that you do not want loading, apply. You would need to restart. Now check the time to boot. It should be faster. Disabling startup programs does not mean you are deleting them or you will longer to use them, so there’s nothing to worry about.

Next you will want to update your antivirus software and run a complete scan. You need to make sure you have no viruses running in the background every time you boot your computer. Here is another great tip, make sure your antivirus program is not set to run every time your computer starts up. This can take a very long time and it is not necessary.

If you’re still suffering from a slow starting computer, it is possible you have a hardware malfunction. Like a hard drive going bad or failing memory. If your hard drive is making clicking noises or strange sounds that you haven’t heard in the past it may be starting to fail.

One of the biggest reasons most overlooked for a slow starting computer is a corrupted registry. More than likely you have bad registry entries and many orphaned files that do not need to be there. Every time your computer starts or shuts down it has to reference the registry. If you have registry entries that are corrupted or orphaned belonging to software that is no longer installed on your computer, Windows will pause to look for them trying to reference the entry to the program.

All of these corrupted or orphaned registry files need to be cleaned from your computer. Once they are you will be left with only good working registry entries and you will no longer have a slow starting computer. Windows does not come with a registry cleaner or scanner, why I do not know as this is one of Windows biggest problems. And it applies to all the operating systems.

To clean your registry you will have to download a registry cleaner from a third party. The scanner/cleaners we recommend are listed on our Main page. We have tested many other registry cleaning programs. Some will damage your computer so you have to be careful which ones you use. If you alter or delete the wrong registry file your computer may become unusable.

If your Windows XP is running slow here are a few quick tips that can greatly increase your PCs performance. Most people don’t know about this this is one method can vastly improve performance on your XP computer in a couple of seconds. This is our slow computer solution for Windows XP.

To get an instant speed boost from your XP operating system go to your start menu and right-click my computer, click properties. Click the ‘advanced’ tab. Then click the ‘settings’ button under the heading ‘performance’.

Click the ‘adjust for best performance’ radio button, but, scroll to the bottom and re-select the ‘use visual styles on windows and buttons’, other wise the buttons will look plain and ugly. Click apply, then ok. Then ok again in the properties box. As soon as you do this you’ll instantly notice an increase in speed, especially for a slow laptop.

Next you want to go into your startup end remove any programs you do not want or absolutely need to know every time your computer starts up. This will speed up your startup and shutdown times, as Windows XP will not need to load so many programs.

It may take a long time to do this so you may want to start it before you go to bed. You should run a complete defrag. Next you’ll want to remove any desktop icons that you can do without. This will not eliminate the program you can find them still in your start menu, it will just remove the icon from your desktop which slows down your computer. The same with your taskbar, remove any programs you do not absolutely need as these require memory and resources.

If your Windows XP is running extremely slow want to make sure you do not have a virus or spyware running in the background. So update your virus definitions and run a complete skan. Do the same for your spyware/ad aware program.

Most people overlook this step but you want to do a complete cleaning and repair of your registry. This is usually one of the biggest reasons Windows XP will run slow. Your Windows registry becomes bloated and corrupt over the years. Most people never do any maintenance on it. This can be a major cause of freezing, blue screen, slow startup, slow shutdown, Windows Explorer running slow and other such errors.

These tips are even more relevant if you are running Windows XP on a laptop. Since most laptops have less resources to use you need to keep your laptop fully optimized in order for to perform well. If you follow the tips above like that your computer is running super fast now. You may just put off buying a new computer after all.

If you have a computer that is running at 100 percent CPU usage and don’t know why here is a few things you can try to eliminate the cause of the problem. if your computer is running at 100% it’s going to be very slow so this will require a little patience.

Does Your Cpu Usage Look Like This?

For a temporary fix you can open task manager by right clicking in your taskbar or hitting control alt delete. click the processes tab and from there you can click CPU at the top to sort by load. You can see which one is causing the high 100% CPU load. If it is something that is not critical to run your Windows operating system you can shut it down. When you reboot it will come back so don’t worry about causing any damage.

A virus or spyware can cause a 100% CPU usage load. Some viruses are pretty nasty and will hog all resources on your computer to multiply itself. Some spyware or ad aware programs will also do this but not as much as a virus. So update your virus definitions and run a full scan. it is going to very depending on which Windows operating system you are using but most of them can be started in safe mode by tapping the F8 key when your computer starts to boot. If you do not catch it early enough you may have to shut it down and try again.

Safe mode will use less resources and should allow you to run your virus scan if you cannot do in normal mode. No virus? What else could it next you should check for spyware or ad aware running in the background as this can use a lot of your CPU resources. If you do not have a spyware remover/scanner you will have to download one.

Let’s not confuses short bursts of 100% CPU usage. This is fairly normal when you open programs or run software that requires high CPU usage like videos or games. However your CPU usage should not constantly run at 100% this is not normal.

If this is not solve your problems so far will want to perform a registry scan and cleaning next. You may have corrupt files or a really bloated registry that is causing your Windows operating system to constantly run high. This is a common problem of high CPU usage so you want to make sure your registry is running at 100% efficiency. The registry cleaner/scanners we recommend can be found on our Main page. Reg-cure is our favorite because it will also allow you to very easily remove programs from your start up that you do not need.

It’s your problem just started recently one of the easiest ways to fix it is use your go back feature or restore feature built into Windows. Go back a day or two when you know your computer was running correctly and most cases at will fix your problem, which is the easiest solution of all.

When I used to work for a computer company providing tech support, one question we got asked constantly was what makes a computer run slow. This is one of the biggest problem for 90% of computer users. When they purchase a new computer it runs smoothly but, quickly over time it begins to slow down.

What Makes A Compter Run Slow?

Nothing more annoying than a slow performing computer, it makes you want to go out and buy a new one or smash it with a large hammer. Most people don’t take the time to do any maintenance on the computer until it begins getting very slow. If you schedule regular maintenance on your computer, your computer may never slow down.

What makes a computer run slow will vary greatly. It could be you have a bad memory or not enough. Many modern programs are complete memory hogs. They will eat up your computer’s resources slowing everything down. There are some things you can do to speed up almost any computer.

First let’s make sure you do not have a virus or spyware running in the background as these will use tons of memory and resources on your computer. So scan your complete hard drive for viruses and then or spyware. I have seen computers slowed to a snail’s pace because of a virus running and duplicating in the background.

Clean out your temporary files and delete all your cookies while you’re at. Do you have tons of programs installed that you never use anymore? Open up your control panel and clean up the programs and software that you don’t use or need.

You will also want to remove any programs out of your start up that you do not absolutely need to load every time your computer starts up. This will greatly increase your startup and shutdown times. It makes no sense to load all these programs into your startup when you never use them. By default many programs will insert themselves in your startup.

However what makes a computer run slow is almost always because of a registry problem. The Windows registry is the heart of the PC. It is also the Achilles’ heel. Mac computers don’t have as many problems as Windows computers because they do not use a registry. It is also why they get less viruses, however most programs are written for windows so majority of people are stuck with using a Windows operating system.

I will have to admit though Windows 7 is a great system so far. Even though it still uses a registry and can get errors just like all the others are Windows operating system. So no matter what version of Windows you have you will want to do a complete registry scan and cleaning and possibly repair. If you do not have a good registry cleaner download one from our Main page and scan your computer. This will tell you how many errors and files that need attention.

Although it will tell you how many errors you have you will have to purchase the software to make the necessary repairs. Let me tell you though that a good registry tool is a wise investment for any Windows computer owner. It will cost less than one trip to your local computer repair shop and it will keep computer running smooth and error free. Most people notice a vast improvement in speed and performance once they form a little maintenance on your computer and they will not be asking what makes a computer will slow any more.

If you are wondering how to fix a slow laptop here is some information and a few tips that will help you speed up your slow running laptop. Many times a laptop will run slower than a desktop computer because it lacks the resources a desktop computer will have available.

Many laptops are short on memory and will use all available to run programs. Here is a good tip that will allow you to add memory to your laptop and speed it up. If you don’t have one already pick up a good USB memory stick. It may be called a jump drive, thumb drive USB drive or others which I can think of right now.

If you have a slow laptop running Vista or Windows 7 you can insert the memory stick into your USB port and you will be prompted by a pop-up to use it as a drive or speed up your computer. If you choose speed up your computer it will use it as memory and add it to your available RAM. If you’re running large programs this may speed up your laptop

We will assume that your hard drive is not going bad, so next you should update your antivirus software and run a full scan. You will also want to scan for spyware and ad aware. You need to make sure you do not have a virus or spyware running in the background as this will use up a lot of computer resources and slow your laptop down immensely.

Many people e-mail us and ask us how to fix a slow laptop, this is one of the most popular problems there is. If the above suggestions have not solved your slow laptop problem you more than likely have a registry problem. A corrupted or bloated Windows registry is a huge overlooked problem. Many people never scan or clean it because there is no program supplied with Windows to perform such maintenance.

Registry is like the heart of your Windows operating system. All your software has to reference it every time it loads. Every time your computer starts or shuts down or you change settings it has to reference the Windows registry. Corrupt entries or orphaned files can really slow your laptop down.

These need to be cleaned, repaired or removed. The Windows operating system, as a default setting, pauses one finds these orphaned or bad files and tries to reference the software that it belongs to which may be no longer working or installed on your computer.

To verify that this may be a problem on your laptop causing it to be slow, download one of the registry repair programs listed on our Main page. Install it and run a full scan. It will show you how many registry errors and bad files you have on your computer. You will have to register the software before you can do a full repair. A good registry program is a wise investment for any laptop or desktop computer.

It will keep your computer running smooth and error free. Many people notice a huge difference after they repair their registry and restart their computer. Your computer should run like it did when it was new and you should no longer have a slow laptop problem.

If you are having the Windows 7 slow shutdown problem like so many other people here are a few things you can do to cure your problem. If you are experiencing the “Windows is shutting down screen” for more than a few minutes in Windows 7 you have one or more programs that are not shutting down properly. You could manually shut down your computer by holding in the power button for 4 seconds, but this is not the proper way to shutdown Windows 7.

Windows 7 Slow Shutdown Solutions

Use the manual shutdown only as a last resort visit may do further damage to your Windows seven operating system. To begin with I always recommend cleaning out your temporary Internet files and cookies. In case you do not know how to do this, click my computer, select your hard drive, right click and select properties. From there you can do a cleaning.

Run your antivirus update then perform a full scan. You want to make sure you have nothing running in the background that is refusing to shut down. Like a nasty virus or spyware. Another big problem found with Windows 7 slow shutdown is drivers being out of date. Make sure all your drivers are up to date with the current version, especially the video and audio drivers. These can sometimes cause Windows 7 to hang on shut down.

Another huge problem causing window 7 two have a slow shutdown is because of a corrupted registry. You need to scan and clean the registry to delete all corrupted or orphaned files, and believe me there will be plenty of them. My brand-new Windows 7 computer straight out of the box had a ton of registry errors. And that was before I loaded any software on it.

You may have tried to load older programs that were incompatible with Windows 7 especially Windows 7 64. Even though you may have uninstalled these programs they more than likely left behind a registry entry. When Windows 7 starts or shuts down it tries to reference these orphaned registry keys. It searches for the software that is no longer there and will pause on every single one of them trying to cross reference. These need to be deleted.

While you can do this manually is very difficult and even experienced computer technicians use software to do the job quickly. If you ever looked into the Windows registry you know there are thousands and thousands of files. It can take hours just to find one bad one that doesn’t belong in their any longer. I recommend using one of the programs listed on our Main page for registry repair/cleaning. You can download either one of them and run a scan to evaluate how many errors are on your computer. From there you can decide whether you need to purchase software or not. Software is a good investment and will keep your computer running smooth and fully optimized.

So you thought when you upgraded or bought a new Windows 7 computer you would no longer have problems like the Windows 7 slow shutdown. Unfortunately Windows still decides they need a registry to operate. All the Windows versions use it and experienced similar problems. Your only other option is to use a Mac or Linux operating system. However most programs are written to run on Windows so most of the time you have no choice. In my opinion however Windows 7 is their best operating system so far.

If your computer is slow to boot up I know how annoying this can be. When you start up your computer do you go and do other things around the home or office while you wait for it to boot? Well here is some information that you can use to speed up your computers startup time.

Don't Get Annoyed At Your Slow Booting Computer

Whether you are running Windows 98, XP, 2000, Vista, or Windows 7 they are all basically the same. If you have an older computer some of them tested the memory every time they booted. To change this you have to go into your settings before the computer boots and turn this off. Most newer computers have done away with this feature.

Check your antivirus settings. You do have antivirus software don’t you? Make sure it is not scanning every time your computer starts up as this can really slow down boot times. Many people have this set to scan automatically on startup or boot up and don’t know it.

Next you’ll want to remove any programs from startup that you do not absolutely need every time you start your computer. A lot of programs and software will insert themselves into your startup menu so the program loads in the background every time you restart your computer. Removing programs you do not need can greatly speed up your slow computer boot up.

Bad memory or a hard drive that is going bad can also be a problem, fortunately this is not a very common problem. Unless your computer is ready to fail you do not have to worry about this. In most cases we have found the registry to be the biggest problem for a computer slow to boot up. The Windows registry is the heart of your computer system.

Your system registry needs to be cleaned, optimized and eliminate any orphaned files as these are the biggest slowdown that will cause a computer slow to boot up. Every time your computer starts up it comes across these orphaned registry files and tries to reference the software that goes with it. This program or software may no longer be on your computer or working properly.

When you uninstall programs in most cases it will leave behind a registry entry. These orphaned files belong to nothing and your Windows operating system will pause when it comes across them trying to cross reference the file. These need to be cleaned out of your system as this has been found to be the biggest problem for a computer slow to boot up.

So how do you clean these orphaned or corrupted files? You will need a good registry cleaner/scanner. While there are some free ones I would not trust your computer to them. If you alter or delete the wrong registry file your computer may become unstable or unusable. The small one-time fee you have to pay for a good professional registry cleaner is a very wise investment as it will keep your computer running smooth and fully optimized. Plus you will receive lifetime updates for free.

The ones we recommend and trust are listed on our Main page. They will do a complete and thorough job and greatly speed up your slow bootup. You may be shocked the first time you run the software in most cases it will find hundreds of corrupted or orphaned registry files that need to be removed or repaired. You will wonder how your computer ran at all.
